King of the Grid

Exhibition Branding

A Look into the Creative Process

In this conceptual project, I was assigned the responsibility of creating branding and promotional materials for an exhibition showcasing the works of the legendary designer, Wim Crouwel. To guide my design process, I drew inspiration from his signature design elements, such as his utilization of grids, negative space, and his affection for the typeface Helvetica. These design elements have heavily influenced the visual direction of the branding and promotional materials I created for the exhibition.

Remembering Mr. Gridnik

One of the twentieth century's leading designers, Wim Crouwel embraced a new modern approach to produce typographic designs that captured the essence of emerging technology, particularly computers and the space age of the 1960s. The exhibition includes many rarely seen pieces from his oeuvre and features grid-based layouts and typographic systems.
